Kansas Echinacea Varieties
There are two main varieties of Echinacea present in Kansas, the first is E. angustifolia, which grows in the western four-fifths of Kansas, and E. pallida, which grows in the eastern one-third of Kansas. We harvest west of Russell County, Kansas, so we know all of our roots are Echinacea angustifolia. We base our claim on the following data.

If you really want to make premium extracts or tinctures, you have to start with only the best quality roots. While Echinacea angustifolia grows in many different locations, Kansas is where it all began. Other locations may produce great roots, however, just like in the business of wine production, there are only a few spots in the world where grapes can produce premium wines -- Kansas is top of the list for Echinacea angustifolia and premium tinctures.
